A store for a small-batch maker.
A fast, custom storefront with a two-step checkout and nothing in the way of the sale.
Concept — visual mockupKestrel is a concept storefront for a small-batch maker — a fast, custom shop that does not feel like every other template.
Why this concept
Independent makers are often pushed onto heavy platforms that load slowly, look generic, and take a cut of every sale. The concept asks what a lean, owned storefront looks like when performance and a calm buying experience come first.
Key decisions
Products are content, so the shop stays easy to update. Checkout is two steps and runs on Stripe. Everything is designed mobile-first, because that is where most small-shop sales actually happen. No pop-ups, no dark patterns — just the product and a clear path to buy.
What it demonstrates
A store can be fast, cheap to run, and fully under the owner's control. This is the e-commerce baseline I build to: quick on a phone, simple to manage, and honest about how it asks people to buy.
